Taylor Swift is too fake says Better Business Bureau

 

Taylor Swift is so totally fake -- at least, according to the Better Business Bureau. The group's National Advertising Division caught CoverGirl fibbing in one of their ads -- and the cosmetic giant has yanked it rather than prove their claims.

The ad for NatureLuxe Mousse Mascara features the always-pretty Swift with long, fluttering eyelashes with the promise "2X more volume." Only upon much closer inspection would a reader see the small print: "Lashes enhanced in post production."

Say what?

"You can't use a photograph to demonstrate how a cosmetic will look after it is applied to a woman's face and then -- in the mice type -- have a disclosure that says 'okay, not really,'" NAD director Andrea Levine told Business Insider.

Does the mascara actually plump up lashes with two times more volume or not? When the NAD asked CoverGirl to back up their claims with scientific proof, parent company Proctor and Gamble chose to pull the campaign instead.

"Upon receiving the inquiry from the NAD, P&G discontinued the advertisement in question," a P&G spokesperson wrote in an emailed statement to the press. "The NAD has deemed our intervention as accurate and proper. We have always been committed, and we continue to be committed, to featuring visuals and claims that accurately represent our products' benefits."                       

Myleene Klass: I love Loose Women - I don't care if they make fun of me

Myleene Klass wasn't bothered when Janet Street-Porter and Jenny Eclair defaced her photo on Loose Women.

Newly married to Graham Quinn and mum to daughters, Ava, 3, and Hero, 9 months, she has other priorities.

'Everyone was offended but I couldn't care less,' Myleene, 33, tells Now's Dan Wootton.

'My mantra isn't to get everyone to like me. I love Janet.

'When I went on the show after having Hero, she helped me out.

'I'd been up all night so hadn't brought my brain.

'She prompted me a few times and I thanked her after.'

So why did Janet and Jenny attack her picture?

'I think they just thought it'd be funny!' says Myleene.

'I want to go back on the show.

'The women are feisty and educated and funny.

'I wanted the photo so I could keep it in my downstairs bathroom, but ITV wouldn't give it to me!'

Frankie Muniz and Elycia Turnbow: Engaged!

Frankie Muniz and Elycia Turnbow are engaged. The actor popped the question to his longtime girlfriend, who's also his publicist, over the weekend.

"After four years together, I'm just so happy to be ENGAGED to the love of my life @ElyciaMarie!!!" the former Malcolm in the Middle star, 25, Tweeted.

"It's official... I'm engaged!" Turnbow also Tweeted Saturday.

Earlier this year, police were called to their home in Phoenix in February to investigate an incident in which, allegedly Muniz punched and pulled a gun on Turnbow.

There was even a 911 call placed during the domestic melee.

"Neither one is interested in finger-pointing at the other," Muniz's rep said at the time. "It was a situation that escalated beyond a point that it needed to be ... If anything, they will look back at this as a learning opportunity."

Apparently a good one. Congrats to the engaged pair!

Justin Bieber Does It Again

Justin Bieber continues to make all other boyfriends look bad.

A month after the 17-year old sensation rented out the Staples Center - yes, the entire Staples Center - for a private screening of Titanic for him and Selena Gomez, The Winnipeg Free Press reports that Bieber pulled a similar romantic stunt Friday night in Winnipeg, Manitoba. This time, the couple enjoyed an emptied-out theater and watched Real Steel together.


According to the newspaper, Justin and Selena had a cheese pizza delivered to the theater and were whisked away in black Lincoln SUV after the showing.
