Did Lauren Alaina 'Bury' Miley Cyrus with Her Version of 'The Climb'?

American Idol Finalist Lauren Alaina attends Fox's "American Idol" Finalist Party on March 3, 2011 in Los Angeles, California.
American Idol celebrated movie night Wednesday and break-out singer Lauren Alaina set her sights on Miley Cyrus as she picked out her ballad "The Climb" from Hannah Montana: The Movie. And if the judges' and audience's reactions are to be believed, she might have one-upped the much more popular star.

As she was preparing to sing Miley's hit, mentor Jimmy Iovine explained to Lauren: "You have got to bury her on this song." Aggressive words from one of the most influential men in the music industry. Fortunately for Lauren, she pulled the song off flawlessly, playing to her strengths by holding out a few extra notes and singing in a clearer voice than Miley's often husky intonation.

So did Lauren actually "bury" Miley on this song? Check out both versions below and see what you think.
